Corrections on Data

As we have intimated in the class, if there are any corections in the name/father's name/mother's name of the students of class IX, should make necessory corrections on the Birth Certificate from the authority concerned, and submit it  the corrected cirtificae in the school office on or before 17.06.2013.

Sahodaya Sports 2012-Manual





The Principal



Dear Sir/Madam,

            We the management, staff, and students of St. Joseph’s Convent School, Kalpetta are happy to inform you that Wayanad District Sahodaya School Complex has entrusted us the responsibility of conducting the Inter School Athletic meet on Saturday the 8th December,2012.We extend a warm welcome. We will be conducting the meet at S.K.M.JHigher Secondary Schoolground Kalpetta. Please take care of the school property and keep the premises clean.

            The details and entry forms are forwarded herewith. The registration fee should be remitted when the entry forms are submitted. The amount for the same will be intimated later. The entry forms may be submitted by hand or by post. Please do not e-mail your entries. The last date for the receipt of the entry form is 20.11.2012. Late entry will not be entertained.


There will be three categories on the basis of age as detailed below:

Category-I    Under  12       Born on or after        01.01.2001.

Category-II   Under  14       Born on or after         01.01.1999.

Category-III Under  16       Born on or after        01.01.1997.

Category-IV             Under  19       Born on or after        01.01.1994.

Rules of March past

  1. Each team should participate in the march past in their school uniform with their school flag.
  2. The points of March past will not be added with the over all points of the team.
  3. The march past will be valued by a team of officials headed by the chief official.
  4. The points of the March Past will be valued on the basis of the following:

a)  Rhythm                       b)Discipline             c)Movement and co- ordination  

d) Command                 e)Over all appearance     f)Turn out      
g)  Marching and timing, turning of eyes at the saluting base.

Rules and Regulations

  1. An athlete can participate in maximum three individual items excluding relay.
  2. Schools will be allowed to send only one or two athlete per event except relay.
  3. Entry forms for each category should be submitted separately.
  4. Spot entry or change in entry will not be permitted.
  5. A single team will be permitted to participate in each category in relay from each school.
  6. Every school shall carry its school flag for the march past (Athletes).
  7. Entry forms, in complete in any respect will not be entertained. Only bonafide students shall be eligible to participate in the meet fielding any non bonafied students shall need to disqualification of the team.
  8. Copy of the birth certificate/Admission Register/copy of class IX Registration card should be produced by the schools, in case of doubt regarding the age of the participant.
  9. Reporting time at S.K.M.J Higher Secondary School, on the day of the meet, is 7.30 a.m. inaugural ceremony is at 7.45 a. m.
  10. The Team should register at St. Joseph’s Convent School, Kalpetta on 7th December.
  11. The competition will be conducted only when there are a minimum of three competitors for a particular event.
  12. Each school should have a team manager who will be responsible for the entire team of the school.
  13. Individual championships will be awarded to the athletes who score the highest total points in each category.
  14. Food will be made available on request on payment basis at Rs. 75/- per person for lunch and evening tea. The requirement in writing should be submitted to Principal, St. Joseph’s Convent School before 25-11-2012.
  15. Any non designated person accompanying the team will not be entertained for any matter at this venue.
  16. Authorized escorting staff and participants are only allowed to attend the meet.
  17. The team manager and escorting staff should ensure utmost discipline befitting to the decorum of the meet.
  18. Any violation to the above will be viewed seriously and appropriate action will be initiated.
  19. All the schools are requested to return the entry forms duly filled and signed by the Principal to the following address on or before 20-11-2012.

7.40 AM

The teams line up at the north south side of the stadium   with their school flags.

 The St.Mary’s English Medium School Pulpally, the last year winner will lead the march Past and the   host school, St. Joseph’s Convent School will keep the last position.

            7.45 AM

Arrival of the Chief Guest. The organizing committee receives the chief guest at the entrance with band and escorts to the seat.

7. 50 AM

After the welcome address, the Chief Guest will hoist the National flag and the President of Sahodaya School will hoist the Sahodaya flag. The teams start march past accompanied by the band. When the first team nears the saluting base the Chief Guest is escorted to the dais by the President of Sahodaya. The Chief Guest receives the salute. On completion of the march past the teams form up in front of the saluting base. Then the official inauguration of the meet will be done and the Chief Guest declares the meet open.

On cessation of all sounds, the team captains march forward and form a semi-circle in front of the saluting base. The host team captain march forward and takes the OATH on behalf of all the competitors.

On finishing the oath all team captains return to the teams. Then the teams march away to their respective pavilions.

Sahodaya Sports Meet 2012-13

The Wayanad Sahodaya Sports meet will be conducted at St. Joseph's Convent School Kalpetta on 08.12.2012. The entry forms are distributed amoung the schools. The last date for submitting the duly fille entry forms will be 20.11.2012.
